Hi, I’m Tom!

I am a software engineer. Over the past 15 years I have had commercial experience with several different languages. Projects both big and small. Whilst being able to do frontend work (full stack) my particular expertise is in large scale backend programs utilizing async event loops and threading for concurrency and parallelism.

I love building things in performance based compiled languages such as Go, Rust and C.

Interests

• VIM. The best editor out there. I spend far longer then I probably should configuring it.

• Docker. Exploring all the things one can do with containers on the desktop is my current hobby.

• Gardening. Specifically trying to produce things you can eat (without experiencing death) from the ground.
